Refund & Returns Policy – Yoghurt Cheese

At Yoghurt Cheese, we take pride in crafting fresh, small-batch yoghurt cheese. Because our products are perishable and made with real ingredients (including dairy and alcohol in some flavours), we have a strict returns policy focused on quality and food safety.

Returns & Refunds

We do not accept returns or refunds for change of mind, incorrect flavour choice, or simply because you no longer want the product.

We will only consider a return or refund in the following cases:

  • The product arrives damaged during delivery (e.g. broken jar or leaking).
  • The product is defective or spoiled upon arrival (e.g. unusual smell, mould, or clearly off).
  • The wrong product or incorrect quantity was delivered.

Timeframe: You must notify us within 48 hours of receiving your order by emailing info@yoghurtcheese.co.za with clear photos of the issue and your order number.

What We Need from You

  • Proof of purchase (order confirmation email or invoice).
  • Clear photos showing the problem (unopened jars where possible).
  • The product must still be in its original sealed jar.

Once we receive and inspect the issue, we will:

  • Offer a full refund, or
  • Send a replacement at no extra cost, or
  • Issue a store credit.

Non-Returnable Items

Due to hygiene and food safety regulations, we cannot accept returns on:

  • Any opened jars
  • Products that have been refrigerated or stored incorrectly by the customer
  • Products past their “best by” date due to customer delay in collection/delivery

Sale & Discounted Items

Items purchased on sale or as part of combo deals are non-refundable except in cases of damage or defect.

Shipping & Delivery Issues

If your order is lost or significantly delayed by the courier, we will work with the courier to resolve it and offer a refund or replacement where appropriate.

Important Note

All our yoghurt cheese must be refrigerated immediately upon receipt. We are not responsible for spoilage caused by incorrect storage or late collection.
